5. Sharing your personal data
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share your personal data with:
- companies within the Value Products group, where this is necessary for internal administration, launch planning, supplier assessment, marketing operations or related business purposes;
- form, CRM and email marketing platform providers;
6. Cookies and similar technologies
The Ultivar coming soon page may use cookies or similar technologies to:
- make the page and forms work;
- protect the page from spam, misuse or security threats;
- remember cookie or privacy choices;
- understand page visits and form performance;
- support email or marketing performance reporting.
Where the law requires consent for cookies or similar technologies, we will ask for consent before using them. Where an exemption applies, we may use the technology without consent, but we will still provide clear information and any required choice.
If we add advertising cookies, remarketing pixels or similar tracking technologies, we will update the cookie information and ask for consent where required.
ICO guidance confirms that UK rules apply to storing or accessing information on users’ devices, and that the rules have been updated following the Data Use and Access Act changes.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the UK.
Where this happens, we will take steps required by UK data protection law to protect your personal data. This may include relying on UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to EU standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
ICO guidance explains that restricted transfers outside the UK must be covered by an appropriate transfer mechanism such as UK adequacy regulations, safeguards or an exception.
8. How long we keep your personal data
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy.
Supplier interest data
We will normally keep supplier interest submissions for up to 24 months from submission or from our last meaningful interaction with you, unless:
- your company progresses into supplier onboarding;
- we need to keep the information for legal, compliance or dispute reasons;
- you ask us to delete it and we have no overriding reason to keep it.
If you become an active supplier, your data will be handled under our supplier onboarding, contract and business record retention processes.
Keep me informed data
We will keep “keep me informed” sign-up data until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent or we no longer need the data for launch and marketing purposes.
We will review marketing records periodically. If there has been no meaningful engagement for a reasonable period, we may delete the data or retain only a limited suppression record.
Suppression records
If you unsubscribe or ask us not to contact you for marketing, we may keep a minimal suppression record, such as your email address and opt-out status, to make sure we respect your choice in future. ICO guidance recognises that suppression can be preferable to deleting all evidence of an objection where it is needed to prevent future marketing contact.
Technical logs
Technical logs and security records are normally kept for a limited period unless we need them to investigate security issues, misuse, fraud, legal claims or regulatory matters.
9. How we protect your personal data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including:
- access controls;
- secure systems and hosting arrangements;
- staff access limited to business need;
- supplier due diligence;
- contractual controls with processors;
- monitoring for misuse, spam and security issues.
No website, form or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to:
- request access to your personal data;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- ask us to delete your personal data;
- ask us to restrict how we use your personal data;
- object to certain uses of your personal data;
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent;
- ask for a copy of certain data in a portable format;
- object to direct marketing at any time.
Your rights are not always absolute and may depend on the circumstances. However, you have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.
ICO guidance sets out individual rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and confirms the absolute right to object to direct marketing.
To exercise your rights, contact:
sales@value-products.co.uk
Subject line: Privacy Request
We may need to verify your identity before responding.
11. Complaints
Please contact us first if you have any concerns about how we use your personal data.
Email: sales@value-products.co.uk
Subject line: Privacy Complaint
We will acknowledge and handle data protection complaints in line with applicable UK data protection requirements.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
ICO guidance now says organisations must provide a way for people to make data protection complaints, acknowledge complaints within 30 days, and respond without undue delay.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including when the full Ultivar website launches or if we change how the coming soon page, forms, cookies or marketing systems operate.
The latest version will be published on the Ultivar website.
